This is going to be a new adventure for us in a number of ways all of which will have their own level of excitement.
First, we’re going on a new (to us) ship – The Majestic Princess. It was built in 2017 and is another in the Princess Royal Class. With that in mind, it presents no major changes to the other Royal Class ships we have been on (Emerald, Royal and Regal) but it does have a couple of new venues re: gastronomy. 🙂 Like we REALLY need more place to eat! Ah well, we’re tough and we’ll take it in stride. More on these two will follow but they are both envisioned by Michelin starred Chefs so I suspect they will be worthy of at least one visit (perhaps more). And, thankfully, this ship still has one of our most favorite locations – Vines!
Second, this will be our first trip as Elite Status. I’m not going to blow a horn here, but loyalty does have some perks. Not the least of which is free laundry service. This is a most welcome bonus as far as my dear wife is concerned. The old adage of ‘happy wife, happy life’ has me smiling as well.
Third, it is our first venture to parts east of Ontario. It’s almost shameful to admit we have not travelled in our own country more, but this will begin to make up for that deficit. Not in a big way, I know, but it is a start.
Fourth, it is also the first time down the eastern seaboard of North America. L.A., San Francisco, San Diego, parts inbetween and north, have been explored on a number of occasions, but never the east side. This trip will have its own escapades I am certain.
