AI is taking over the written word it seems. While trying to remain at least marginally informed in our ever-changing technical world, I can’t help but be at least curious as to the benefits (?) that AI could bring.

With that in mind, I have taken the liberty of inputting my entire first page of this new adventure to ChatGPT. The text below is how IT re-wrote my verbage. Please let me know what you think. Email me at DyrekL@shaw.ca. Looking it over, my own take is that it is VASTLY different. And yes, it is only one AI version. There are too many to try them all so I thought I would go with the very first one (and perhaps the most well-known). Although it has some interesting turns of phrase, I just can’t see myself writing like this or even using it to do more for me. But…that’s just me. Maybe your thoughts are different. (…hearts rejoice?? Really???)

The prospect of complimentary laundry service, particularly cherished by my dear wife, adds an extra layer of joy. After all, a happy spouse makes for a contented life, and that sentiment has me beaming as well.

Thirdly, it’s a departure past the eastern expanses of Ontario, a region we’ve regrettably neglected in our travels. While it may not constitute a grand atonement, it’s a step towards rectifying that oversight, one port at a time.

Fourthly, venturing down the eastern seaboard of North America marks another first for us. While we’ve explored the sun-kissed shores of L.A., San Francisco, and San Diego, the eastern frontier has remained uncharted territory. Anticipation brews for the adventures that lie ahead, as we traverse landscapes unexplored and weave tales anew along this unfamiliar coast.
