Short but Sweet

Hello everyone!  We’re back with another adventure, albeit somewhat shorter than our norm.

Health dictates a less strenuous and more curtailed cruise this time.  With that in mind, a quick trip down the west coast from Vancouver, B.C. to Los Angeles, California seemed prudent.  As cruises go this will be, by far, our least intensive.

We have only 3 days onboard and no ports of call.  Starting in Vancouver, we simply sail down the coastline and ultimately dock in Los Angeles.  Having said that, our actual trip does not ‘end’ in Los Angeles. 🙂

Leaving the ship, our steps will take us to our rented car with the northern wine country of Sonoma and Napa firmly in our sights.  Not much time to spend, but it’s been 40+ years since we have toured the California wine country.  A somewhat condensed visitation seemed to be a good idea.

Who knows?  Maybe I’ll finally get my long-envisioned hot-air balloon ride?

    • Welllllll….having checked out the balloon rides, we found out they take place at 6:15 in the morning! And from where we will be staying, it’s at least a 45 minute drive away. Which means we’d have to be up, dressed, finished breakfast etc before heading out. And THAT means getting up around 4:40 ish AM! Probably not happening. 🙂
